Kindness In The StormIt was very late at night, and I was wandering around the side of a mountain, during a blizzard. I felt the cold snow under my paws, hearing the wet crunch as I took each step. The wind was howling past my ears, and snow collected in my fur, getting it wet. "My damn brother thinks he can unleash his blizzards on this mountain, just because I've gone to check the other side for a few minutes," I muttered angrily to myself. "He always makes them too cold, and too windy." I suddenly stopped at a cliff that overlooks a small village. The Flight"HAH!!" Elisa grunted as she jumped from the rain gutter pipe of one building to the service ladder of the next building over. She quickly climbed up the ladder as Joanna, Hughes's body guard, chased after her.

"GET BACK HERE!" Joanna shouted from the roof of the other building, preparing a shotgun. She aimed the firearm at Elisa's head, and pulled the trigger. She missed Elisa's head by mere inches, only catching her hair. Elisa slid under several air conditioning vents, and jumped over a service railing before jumping the gap to the next building over, performing a shoulder roll upon landing.

Evan brought out a small, black, box-shaped device from his backpack, with a large piece of glass encased in a round plastic cylinder attached to the front. He placed his right index finger on top of a silver button on the top right corner of the device, and held the plastic cylinder with his left hand.

He ran ahead of me a little distance away, and knelt down in the snow as I continued walking towards him. Just before he pressed the button, he stood up and started walking backwards, as a little light popped out from the top of the device. He pressed the button, and a clicking sound came from inside the device as the light flashed.

"What is this?" I asked him, looking at the device curiously.
"It's a camera," Evan told me.
"What does it do?"
"It takes photos, like the one I took of you just now," Evan said.

Evan turned the camera around, and let me have a look at a little screen mounted to the back.

I saw my face, captured in full detail on the screen. I was smiling.

Basically, I just made the lines a little more vibrant in this photo edit of the original drawing. I think I would have gotten a better result by simply adjusting the lighting on the drawing itself, though. . .

Eden learns what a digital SLR camera is.

I have one new character to add to the cast of Eden: Evan Jacobson.

Evan's full intro will be in my upload of the second chapter of Eden in a few days, once I pass that chapter by my proofreader

apparently, I've been making quite a few mistakes with some of my recent stories. . .thankfully, my proofreader caught them.

And, a drawing of what Eden looks like. Her main character design was based off of my existing character Elisa, but I changed around her hairstyle a bit, to use on Eden. The longer hair looks more like Kamei's hairstyle than Elisa's, though. . .
